naomi & goro --- "2009 Blog"--- Naomi Fuse _ vocal Goro Ito _ guitar, arrangement Naomi and Goro is a Bossa Nova duo consisting of Naomi Fuse, a singer with an angelic, clear and beautiful voice, and Goro Ito,a master of Brazilian styled guitar with warm and tender sound. They sing and play not only cover songs but their originals, cherishing the sound of words and harmony. Directly following Joao Gilberto's sound, their sound is simple acoustic and vocals. Their music stresses the importance of the sound of chords and vocals, and they play both covers and original songs. Dec. 1st. 2002 Their first album "turn turn turn" was released. Dec. 1st. 2003 A bossa nova styled Christmas songs album"presente de natal" was released. Aug. 18th. 2004 Second album "BON BON" was released. Apr. 12th. 2006 "Home", assorted popular songs cover album, was released. Jul. 5th. 2006 They released their third original album "P.S. I forgot". So far, They have also participated in various compilation albums, such as "Felicidade-A tribute to Joao Gilberto (2005 Toshiba EMI)"that was released to commemorate Joao's first visit to Japan, "Nosso Tom (2006 Avex)"A.C.Jobim's 80th anniversary album, and so on. The album "Home" was released inKorea by Korean label STOMP MUSIC.They appeared in Korean TV programs, "Space(EBS)" and "For You(MBC)". 2007 They appeared in LOHAS Classic Concert hosted by Ryuichi Sakamoto. 2008 This year, the 50th anniversary year of Bossa Nova, they released their 6th album "Bossa Nova Songbook 1(commmons)". Ryuichi Sakamoto played the piano in two songs for this album. After the releasing of the album, they toured around Japan and did thirty five live performances.They also attended in big festivals such as "World Happiness" in Japan and "Grand Mint Festival" in Korea. 2009 "Bossa Nova Songbook 2"(8th July released) "passagem" (21st October) are their 7th&8th albums recorded for the first time in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. The top-flight musicians in Rio De Janeiro gatherd for this recordiong session. Naomi Fuse's bio Born on December 15,1975, in Miyazaki city,Miyazaki pref.Japan Blood type:B Singer, Songwriter. Having met Bossa Nova at the Risa Ono's concert in her high school days,she herself started playing. 1996,she started to study singing and playing the guitar under Nobuhiro Takahashi. 1977,started to play at clubs in Tokyo. 1999,have met Goro Ito and formed Naomi and Goro. 2002,their first album "turn turn turn "was released. She has been featured as a narrator in TV commercial of Sony Vaio since May 2008. She's good at sports and dancing. She loves traveling abroad,spending months in summer and year-end and new-year season around Europe every year. Goro Ito's bio Born on December 10,1964, in Aomori city,Aomori pref.Japan left-handed musical composer, arranger, guitarist, producer, and also doing his solo career under the MOOSE HILL name. Writing mainly instrumental music, he produced music for movies, TV drama, commercial films. Tomoyo Harada(Japanese famous actress and singer) sings two songs in Moose Hill's second album "desert house"(2006). He wrote the soundtrack to the movie, "To Pray for Snow". This movie won 4 prizes including Best Director & Best Male Actor at the 18th Tokyo International Film Festival. The movie is directed by Kichitaro Negishi and features Yusuke Iseya, Kouichi Sato, Kyoko Koizumi & Kazue Fukiishi. On August 8th, he produced two CDs, Penguin Cafe Orchestra tribute album and Penguin Cafe Orchestra Japanese best album. They were released from "commons", Ryuichi Sakamoto's label. This tribute CD includes Ryuichi Sakamoto, YukihiroTakahashi, Steve Jansen, Hiroshi Takano, Masakatsu Takagi, and so on. He wrote the inserted song and soundtrack for two short movies, "identify"and"metamorphosis", directed by Masahiko Nagasawa for Fuji television's campaign event. On November 28th 2007, he produced Tomoyo Harada's 25th anniversary album "music & me". On February 18th 2009, he produced Kourin's album "Hibino-Uta (Sony music)". On October 12nd 2009, he produced Tomoyo Harada's album "eyja (EMI Music Japan)". |
